Why stand when you can sit? And why sit when you can lie down? 醉生梦死
If we can't laugh at ourselves from time to time, it simply means you are trying too hard...
Depending on how costly is the mistake we made on bad decision. We might be crying alone instead of laughing at ourselves.
CW,You are right! Some bad decisions we can never recover from... Just take making bad decisions with electricity retailers, property, equities, CPF, insurance, etc. These we can recover from. Then there's the decision to vax or not. Evidently some don't understand risk/reward. These people should never venture onto the Earn More path...
Smol,That's risk mgmt in life ... minimise the number of mistakes that make you cry.Of course that doesn't mean maximise the number of mistakes that make you laugh! LOL!
Spur,LOL!Good one!
one good example is choosing a life partner
Daniel,I am impressed with those who had multiple marriages and still looking forward to their next marriage!?Evidently these are super positive people who believe practice makes perfect!I would rank marriage as the biggest "gamble" in our lives. We either live happily ever after; or that's when the nightmare starts!(Of course its easy for me to say; I've got no skin in the game)
