Only You Can Change Yourself

Thai TV commercials are super fun to watch!

Something for those who are climbing up the mountain.

  1. I love the epicly hilarious ones! So many! Actually, some of the most enjoyable movies I've watched are Thai ones, too. Something about their way of storytelling and brand of humour that makes all the difference.

    3. CW,

I just saw your latest post ;)

      Steady pom pi pi man!

Single income, 3 graduate children - not easy. Respect.

If any idiot financial blogger blogs to reach financial freedom earlier, we should remain single, not have children - I'll jio you to throw shoes at that bugger OK?

      LOL!

Don't like that leh, give chance. Luckily i am not seeking Financial Freedom. I am aiming for financial independence only. lol. Indeed, without child/ren will be much easier, financially.

    5. Frugal Daddy,

Doing word play with me? LOL!

Standyby hor! I going to throw my slipper at you!

      Of course no children "easier".

Just like financial freedom/independence is "easier" if we got rich parents ;)

A real 大爷 won't give too many excuses. We just do what we have to do. One step at a time.

You are different. I don't see you looking at your little girl with regret. How many daddies would want to cycle round Singapore with their little girls?

Where got time? Daddy needs to make more money first!

When daddy finally got money, the little girl is already someone's else wife... Moment passed.

For those who pull out all the stops to reach their X amounts in Y years financial freedom goal, that's something they have to find out for themselves whether they have paid too high a price for it ;)

P.S. I'll leave it to you to explain what's the difference between Financial Freedom and Financial Independence at your blog ;)

  2. :-) If I were to edit the film, I would have one more part that not just she changed physically, she also changed mentally and become a better and happier person.

    1. Rolf,

If she had changed mentally first, she wouldn't need to fetch water up the hill to the well.

When we accept and love who we are, we don't need to change ourselves to please others.

That's why its for those "climbing up" the mountain to seek happiness.

If we are already happy, climb mountain for what?

    2. I am slim and fit but it doesn't mean I don't have to put in time and effort to maintain. Right?

Happy now. Going up mountain to see and confirm?

    3. CW,

      True.

You have just spoken out the difference between climbing up the mountain to escape, and ascending up the mountain to achieve ;)

  3. u got me wrong, I say after she realise she is already slim, add the part that she go meet the friends who critised her as pig, and she need not even angry with them, bcos she had enlightened not just physically but mentally.

    1. Rolf,

      Hee hee.

I got you the first time ;)

Just having fun with "motivation" - internally derived versus externally applied :)

When I was younger, I'm more of - "I'll show them!"

As I matured, I discover I'm more curious - "Let's see if I have this in me?"
