I realised I have shared Mandarin, Hokkien, Cantonese, Japanese, and English songs.
But no Teochew songs? How can!?
OK, I don't listen to Teochew songs except when they were sung during getai.
I'll share this Teochew song that's hilarious.
Older Teochew readers may have heard of it. At least heard of the title. It's one of my Ah Ma's sayings to me when I was little.
Come to think of it, isn't it Trend Following for traders?
Less thinking; more 地块凉地块坐!
For investors, it is drop X% buy Y%
ReplyDeleteLess analyzing. More investing.
LOL!
CW,
DeleteSlowly but surely, the gulf between us is getting smaller ;)
Less thinking; more doing.
temperament,
ReplyDeleteWow! The way you describe the singer's voice is so beautiful in imagery!
You must have a way with words you naughty boy!
I can imagine the girls melting when you describe their beauty with imagery of succulent grapes, ripen papayas, and mouth watering mangoes...
I better stop! I need a cold shower now!
You are a generalist; I am a jack-of-all-trades. Sama sama ;)
Hi SMOL
ReplyDeleteSomehow It's more convincing for female to sing this . I do not know if a male sings this how would it be ? Wonder why haha
Small Time Investor,
DeleteCome to think of it, I've not heard the male version before...
In Singapore, I only know 麦卉 (Mai Hui) and the late 阿南 (Ah Nan) sing Teochew songs at getai.
I think Teochew songs are quite cheesy. I prefer Hokkien and Cantonese songs better ;)
