let it go 讓它去

I tell you, there are lots of talented "amateurs" amongst our midst.

Excellent taiwanese (hokkien) cover of this Disney animation's super hit "Let it go" by Indina Menzel.

This song appears after an ostracized Elsa abandons her kingdom soon after her cryokinetic powers were discovered by the public. Realizing that she no longer needs to hide her incredibly powerful ice abilities, Elsa declares herself free from the obstacles that she's been faced with since childhood and rejoices in using her powers without fear.

Haven't we at sometimes in our lives felt the same way?

We have a gift or an alternative view of life; but we are afraid to reveal it to others.

Fear of being different.

Fear of not fitting in.

Fear of standing out.

1,2,3. Sing it out loud now!

Let it go! Let it go! Let it go!

  1. Definitely!
We have to learn to be abled let go all the time. If not the baggages we carry on our backs will just pile up (our mind will just cave in) and break our backbones in no time.
    Or landed us in IMH.
Also the "Old don't go, the New won't come"
Or there won't be a "NEW YOU" if the "OLD YOU" doesn't die.

    1. temperament,

Funny when we were young, we do our best to accumulate.

Now when we are "young at heart", we discover it makes us happier if we let it go ;)

      Travel light!

  2. Good thing doesn't come easily.

When you recognize it, don't let it go but hold it tight.

    It may never come again.

  3. It may be true for some of the good things in life.
    On the other hand,
Do you know how monkeys are trapped when they put their hands into a hole just large enough for their free hands to grasp something they like very much to eat, but not large enough for their clenched, grasping hands to exit the hole.

Sometimes, we are just like the monkey, not willing to let go.
Remind me of a sunk cost in an investment.
How many times i had refused to let go.

  4. a Dutch boy once saves his country by putting his finger in a leaking dike; till helps come. Imagine the horror, if he just let it go (i.e. before helps come) and go back home to sleep.

just like in investing and when you have good catch, why let it go? Hold it tight. Hold it tight! (NB: copyrighted by CW)

Ask what is the worst thing that can happen and Let it be.

  6. i think the worst thing that can happen is you give back all your gains and then some to the market. And double whammy, if you are forced to sell because you need the money for one reason or other. Or you are in your De-accumulating phase.
Of course if you bought Apple or Microsoft from early days and hold till now on purpose, i say you are a genius in investment. Or that's your style of investment. Buy & Forget.

  7. Interesting discussion ;)

Our nicks do reveal a lot on our current state of mind and our priorities.

Empty handed we come; empty handed we go.

(Unless of course you want to follow the Egyptian pharaohs and bury your wealth with you)

    1. Empty handed go is still okay.

Don't ever leave behind shits for the living to clear for us.

    2. 悄悄的我走了,
      正如我悄悄的來;
      我揮一揮衣袖,
      不帶走一片雲彩。
