Why stand when you can sit? And why sit when you can lie down? 醉生梦死
Smol, 10 years too short, maybe 50 years? Lol.For many people, simply performing rituals is more important than actually living the meaning & intentions behind them. ;)In a kinder context, or perhaps more investing & business context, the phrase "perfection is the enemy of the good" comes to mind. Some go further:Perfection is the enemy of progress;&Perfection is the enemy of success. The analysis paralysis and the eternal meetings & discussions & planning doom loop. Keke.
Spur,;)That's why I moved from agnostic to atheist; life is too short to spend time with "wayang" religious folks. But if I meet a spiritual person, oh what joy! Again, as with all definitions, how we interpret them reflects a lot on ourselves.Perfection as in Kaizen (continuous improvement) I can get behind. We do not start with a "goal" in mind, but its more a way of life. Hiding behind "perfection" and using it as an excuse to avoid making a decision or taking the first step, now that's the enemy of progress! Its so fun to "read" the various animal characters in our community. Have fun spotting those who practice "do less; less mistakes", from those who believe "its better to beg for forgiveness than to ask for permission"!For eg, CW definitely does not have a problem squeezing the trigger when it comes to buying!
