莲花山

Taken at Lian Hua Peak in Guangzhou, China Feb 2011

酒肉穿肠过,
佛主心中留。

名利以淡薄,
今身无他求。

  1. The first 2 verses were "copied with pride" from 济公's (I've just invented my own chinese/english grammer!) famous saying.

This poem is to express why I don't believe having more money is the solution.

But having said that, I am under no illusion it is precisely due to the accumulation of savings that allow me to live the life I am aspiring to - work for play, and play for money?

So what I say and what I do can be different. I am one such confused individual!

  2. Hi SMOL,

Actually I don't think it's contradictory. Sometimes only after you've gone thru the accumulation of money would you realise the emptiness of it by itself. It's a realization of the fact after you've attained it :)

  3. The cricket is humbled and overjoyed that the butterfly appreciates the music the cricket is playing on his violin.

    Finger tapping my heart.
