I'm so happy! Back to work today!
Yeah, I'm still alive and kicking.
Nope, did not go sell salted duck eggs yet.
Took an extended 2 months spring break from blogging.
In case you were wondering, I was heavily involved and distracted with mobile gaming. I think this market got potential to beat console and PC gaming one day... Or maybe it has already?
Was pleasantly surprised on the quality of games you can play on a mobile phone nowadays! IT dinosaur me...
Got a call from my company to report to work Wednesday. Only difference now is I can't jump from store to store like before. Must stay put in one store.
I believe one fast food operator got into trouble when they rotated staff to different outlets; and the price they paid was ALL outlets have to close when their staff got infected. Ouch!
Containment. Ringfencing.
In investing/trading, we call it Position Sizing.
I tell you.
I was lucky to be paid while sitting at home during the weekends for these two and half months. But when everyday is Sunday, Sunday soon losses it meaning...
I noticed there's a psychological impact/toll on me too.
No fun in roaming around Singapore when I can't eat out. Takeaway bring home already cold and not so nice to eat.
And without my 2 days of "rest" during the weekends by working, I've noticed I'm getting a lot less patient with mom during these 2 months.
Let's hope things will slowly get back to normal.

I've heard some other part-timers and temporary staff from other companies were not paid at all.
Legally nothing wrong at all. No work; no pay.
That's why companies hire part-timers and temporary staff in the first place - lower costs.
But big daddy got subsidize companies 75% of their payroll. Some companies not even willing to pay that extra 25% out of their own pockets... Really?
Then again, can understand if companies are on the brink of bankruptcies themselves. Can't be too quick to judge, I guess.
Good to know you and your mama are healthy and untouched by the virus. Stay that way and take care.

I did not manage to get any raremons and gave up on it. If you did, a single raremon could be worth $100+ or so by now.

All that was rather elusive until now. But glad to be back in school and see them face to face too

But for my graduation class, we did get closer ober the phone. Chasing over their work over the phone

Then again, I'm having lots of fun learning how to do mobile gaming despite my initial skepticism; I'm a PC gamer koala bear in the past ;)

Regarding gaming you can make a buck while smashing in an opponent's head. E.g. VanEck Vectors video gaming & esports ETF.
Kinda overbought now though. (disclaimer: i have a small position in it)
I'm sure there's some gaming platform letting players earn some cryptos while killing each other haha.
Yup heard from some in retail & SME that their bosses are just paying them the 75% from govt in the last 2 mths. If the bosses cut more than 25% they have to report to MOM.
But by cutting pay this means those companies will get smaller govt handouts in the next tranche as the reduced salaries will be used as the baseline. 🙄

No need to take part in e-sports competitions as a pro...
Just stream live on Twitch while playing or put up YouTube videos and there are hoards of people interested!?
Somethings never change I guess.
There will be no shortage of shepherds willing to share with others how to play a game; and there will be even more legions of followers eager to receive "free" advice on how to play a game.
Same, same like in our investing/trading community ;)
