I am back!

Hello everybody and everybody hello!

I'm back from vacation!

The 3 weeks of "cold turkey" was great! No emails, no internet, no phone calls. (OK, I did cheat one time when I ventured into an electronics store - got free internet on the display notebooks, so I surfed for only 15 minutes - honest!)

Sometimes we need to press the "reset" or "reboot" button. I've proven to myself that I can walk away, when needed - it's an addiction if we can't walk away - be it blogging or speculation ;)

The only sad thing is that I was still glued to CNN or BBC news in the hotels that I stayed. I guess that's a "top-down speculator's" disease... But its also interesting that I can "ignore" the day to day noise and stick to my plan - when confused, walk away. STI is back when I left for vacation despite the volatility in the recent weeks.

I've met quite a few Australian tourists (with appreciating AUD currency, if not now when is the good time to travel?) along the way, and would blog about my encounters soon. Just need some time to choose the right photos to use. The thing about digital photography is that I am a little more trigger happy...

It's great to be back!

P.S. I am so glad "The Barbarian and the Bard" made it to my top 10 posts of all time!!!

  2. 1) CW8888,

Thanks! Good to be back to exchange ideas and agree to disagree politely with the "gurus" out there. LOL!

    2) LP,

Our joint post on the Barbarian and Bard made it to top ten while I was gone! I so very the happy!!!

Now I wonder if you do those fantasy art drawings with women warriors in sexy clothes? I always wonder how they fight with so little armour on. Or is it a distraction ploy? Seduce and slash?

  6. Hi SMOL,

Haha, I did sexy woman warriors before, but it's a bit harder :) I'll do it, but a lot of drawings are on queue now, haha :)

  7. Hi SMOL,

Forgot to answer the question regarding woman warriors - I think they wear little armor because all else being equal, woman warriors can't fight strength to strength with male warriors, hence their strength lies not in taking brunt attacks but in dodging them altogether. Woman can be much more agile (lighter weight, hence lesser inertia - can change direction faster) and flexible (less muscular tone and higher fats content), so they are ideal agile fighters.

What a serious answer to a light hearted question, haha!

  8. LOL LP!

Hmm, you must play woman warrior often in gaming ;)

I understand you are busy with your renovation and your passion with your students.

I'll just wait patiently for your next drawing. Then I can write to complement it. It will be great if we can have another top ten post like the "Barbarian and the Bard" :)
